Culver’s is a chain fast food restaurant that started in a small town in Wisconsin and has grown to have locations all over the United States, mainly in the Midwest. Culver’s is known for there butter burgers and frozen custard. With several different restaurant locations across Kansas City, Culver’s is a great place to stop for a quick bite and a great tasting burger. Culver’s is known to have better quality food than most fast food restaurants around the area, and it’s not hard to tell why.

I decided to give the Culver’s location on State Line a visit and see what all the hype was about. Similar to Freddy’s, Culver’s had a very clean inside and great customer service, which is hard to find in some chain fast food places. After a long look at their dauntingly large menu, I decided to order my favorite, a plain double bacon cheeseburger with a side of their famous Wisconsin cheese curds. There was a shockingly short wait for a fast food restaurant that begins to cook when you order. The burger looked great, except for the bacon. It was clear that it was the cheap microwave cooked bacon and it didn’t even look like it was cooked all the way. After taking off the bacon, the burger was very good. The cheese was nice and melted and the patties were perfectly cooked. Even though I was slightly grossed out by the bacon, which very, very rarely happens to me, the burger was overall very good. I think the undercooked bacon was a one time mistake, because this is the first time it has happened to me after lots of visits to Culver’s. Culver’s is a very good fast food restaurant and I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick bite to eat or a less expensive burger.
