Smitty’s Garage Burger and Beer is a chain restaurant that specializes in making quality burgers and providing a fun atmosphere. Although a chain, Smitty’s just opened its first location in Kansas City about two years ago on State Line located in the Ward Parkway Center. The Garage was a vast burger menu and has TVs visible no matter where you sit at the table. If your looking for a place to eat on Friday night or somewhere to have a burger while watching the game, Smitty’s is certainly the place to go.

I live near Smitty’s Garage, so whenever my family and I are looking to sit down and eat some burgers, we almost always turn to Smitty’s. This restaurant specializes in burgers and offers a numerous amount of different options. You can decide anywhere from the Sweet New Mexico burger topped with green Chile’s, cream cheese, and honey, or you could go the safe route with the classic American cheeseburger. During my last trip to The Garage, I decided to try out the BBQ Bacon Theta burger, which is topped with BBQ aioli, pickles, BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheddar cheese, along with a side of sweet potato fries. Unlike some sit down restaurants, Smitty’s always gets your burger out without a long wait. When my burger arrived, the first things I noticed was that they cooked the bacon the right way, which is not in the microwave, and they put the perfect amount of sauce on it to where the bun wasn’t soggy or dripping everywhere. Although the burger was slightly greasy, it still tasted great, as it always does when I make a trip to The Garage. Smitty’s Garage is the classic place to gather and eat burgers with a group of friends or to watch a game in a sports-bar like atmosphere.
